All Employers and Landlords/Letting agents are responsible by law for preventing any harm coming to their employees, customers and tenants when using equipment provided for their use.
If your working environment or property has any appliances with a mains voltage plug attached, for example: Computers, Monitors, Printers, Kettles, Microwaves, Fridges, Vacuum Cleaners, Cash Tills, etc.
You will have a duty to comply with all the necessary regulations. PAT Testing is the best way you can fulfil this obligation. Failure to implement a programme of Portable Appliance Testing can also have insurance implications.
